Disc Golf Courses in Charlotte NC

disc golf charlotte nc

Disc golf was invented in the mid 1970’s in southern California as another in a long line of competitions related to various disc skills like freestyle and ultimate. The young sport grew slowly, incubated on many college campuses, until the last years. Thanks to exponential advances in disc technology, as well as a similarly prolific increase in PDGA (Professional Disc Golf Association), membership, disc golf has become one of the country’s fastest growing sports.

Check out the 2023 DGPT Championship highlights below:

The Boyd Hill disc golf course is right outside downtown Rock Hill, one of the hotbeds of the sport. While it’s on the shorter side compared to other courses – all par-3 – it’s still fairly hilly with a creek running down the middle. You’ll find tougher, more wooded holes that may give you trouble, but also a decent amount of open holes to lower your score. Charlotte’s not just a great disc golf destination for locals; it’s one of the top five disc golf cities in the entire country.

Shorter pads might have been more enjoyable with more opportunity to be aggressive. Maintained by the Brackett family in the rural outskirts of Davidson, Brackett’s Bluff is a private course with plenty of interesting layouts to choose from. Thanks to a few tee boxes that are intertwined, your round at this could include up to 22 playable holes filled with woods, narrow fairways and other scenarios that are unique to the property.

No matter where you live in the Queen City, a disc golf course is probably not far from you. Good courses for beginners include Renske, Reedy Creek, Eager Beaver, and Bailey Road. Some of the best pro-level courses include Renaissance, R.L. Smith, Hornets Nest, Nevin, and Bradford. All of the courses located on public parks are free to play, so you just need a couple of discs (no more than 2-3 for beginners).

In warmer months, you can enjoy the brewery's large outdoor beer garden. For barbecue, the Midwood Smokehouse or the (pleasant) biker bar atmosphere of the area's several Mac's Speed Shops are solid options. We also give recommendations for great places to get a bite to eat and wet your whistle after you've hit enough trees for one day and off-the-course attractions.

Even though it’s a short drive away from Plaza Midwood, the course at Kilborne District Park is as wooded as they come. It was the site of the 1997 and 2012 World Championships, so expect pro-level difficulty throughout your round. Even with a tougher layout that puts a premium on accuracy and recovery skills, it’s one of Charlotte’s most iconic courses that everyone needs to try. Opening in 2021, Eastway Park is one of the newer courses in the Charlotte area. A unique feature of this course is the numerous ways you can play it.

Another Round is nothing more than the people that run it and support it. Renaissance Park is world renown and people travel to play this course. Some baskets will be colored white/gold or red/gold for the other courses that overlap and share baskets. Directional signage will be updated in NOVEMBER 2015 but is not updated yet. Uphill, downhill, wide open, tight mandos, ravines, heavily wooded, long and even a short one or two.

This pro-level course has enough open spaces to help you lower your score and narrower wooded spots to challenge your skills, making it a highly-rated destination for local players. Charlotte’s history with disc golf began in the late 1980’s when the 18-hole course at Reedy Creek Park was built in the University area. The city steadily gained traction in the sport with the additions of Kilborne (1996), Hornets Nest (1996), and Renaissance Gold (1998). However, it wasn’t until Charlotte was selected to host the 2012 World Championships that disc golf caught fire in the Queen City. Seven new courses appeared in the three years leading up to the tournament, and today there are 30 courses of 18 holes or more within a 25 mile radius of Uptown with several private courses in the area as well.

However, don’t think that the courses aren’t differentiated just because woods are the norm. The rolling hills in the area offer a wealth of elevation changes. Charlotte, North Carolina, is the fourth best metro area for disc golf in the United States. It's historical fact that in 1780 during the U.S. Revolutionary War the British General Cornwallis and his troops rode into Charlotte and encountered resistance from a small group of rebels. Brick and mortar retail is important but we’re also becoming a global disc golf brand.

Sugaw Creek Park’s disc golf course is a compact challenge located just north of NoDa near I-85. It’s a shorter course that’s fun for beginners and challenging enough to keep advanced players entertained. This woody, hilly course has hosted the Disc Golf Pro Tour Championship since 2019 and has also hosted the 2018 Amateur World Championships and the World Championships in 1997 and 2012.

Another great Cornelius course that’s just outside the downtown area is Bailey Road Park. Not quite as tough as Robbins Park, Bailey Road Park is an excellent spot for rounds with family and for honing your skills. We currently have stores in Charlotte, North Carolina and Denver, Colorado but have imminent plans for new locations.

The enthusiasm hasn't died down, and the metro area just keeps getting more courses (as well as refining the older ones). Charlotte Disc Golf Club Director of Operations Mark Huether said there are currently over five courses in the planning stages in the area as of the end of 2021. Combine Charlotte’s disc golf obsession with its ever-expanding beer scene and you’ve got Another Round in NoDa. Catawba and Alexander counties are currently part of the Hickory–Lenoir–Morganton Metropolitan Statistical Area or "the Unifour". Factoring in the Unifour, as well as Chesterfield County, if one considers these regions to be part of the Charlotte area, as many in the area regard them as such, the population according to 2018 Census estimates, increases to 3,190,390. locked out of house

My first instinct if I lock myself out of my house is always to check for unlocked windows and doors. Depending on the size of your home, or if you live in an apartment, you might only have one door. However, if you happen to have backdoors or side doors, there’s a chance that you or someone else forgot to lock them before leaving the house.

More From the Los Angeles Times

Getting locked out of your house is no fun, but it’s also not the end of the world. There are lots of options to try to get back into your home and you can always call a locksmith if you run out of options. If nothing else, being locked out of your house will teach you the importance of having at least one spare key.

Update Hardware on Entry and Patio Doors

Here is another idea not everyone recommends, but if you’re desperate, it might work. Try not to put a spare key under a doormat, beneath a flowerpot, or in another spot where a burglar might look. There are sure to be at least a few good hiding spots situated in various places outside of your home. If you don't already have a spare key somewhere on the exterior of your home, you should change that immediately. There are so many places that you can put a house key so that you always have one handy.

However, it’s definitely better to call a locksmith and spend the money rather than be locked out of your house indefinitely. However, before you resort to breaking things, there are plenty of other options. We’re going to look at what those options are and everything else you should try rather than breaking into your own home.

Hide-a-key

When locked out of your house, the first step to regaining entry is to check for any unlocked doors or windows. There is a chance that they will be unlocked, giving you another way to enter the home. If this is the case you will save both time and potential frustration. No one likes being trapped outside of their home and as mentioned above, this can cause many potentially frustrating and dangerous situations.

locked out of house

Usually, if you can prove residency with an ID and car registration, they are more than happy to help you. Although a viable option, emergency services such as the Police force or Fire Brigade are exactly that, emergency services. If you can afford to wait, it is better to call a locksmith who will have better tools to get you into your home.

However, breaking a window poses safety risks and can lead to additional expenses for repairs. Similarly, attempting to jimmy a lock without proper tools and knowledge can damage the lock and make it harder for a locksmith to help you. If you can see a ground floor window open, you may be able to climb inside your home and open the door from the inside.

Fire Safety Training: Educating Employees and Family Members

Locksmiths carry special tools, such as a hook or half diamond, that they can use to pick your lock and get you back inside your house. If that doesn't work, they can drill out your existing lock and replace it with a new one. They can also help if your key breaks inside the lock, or if you're locked out of your car, garage or mailbox. Assuming that you're not a tradesperson with a set of tools to hand, you'll need to borrow some tools from a neighbor to take the lock apart. You may be able to unscrew the knob and remove the hinges with a screwdriver or a paperclip. Make sure that you put it back together correctly to keep potential intruders out.

If you successfully unlock your door, it's time to change the locks. You have proven how easy your home is to break into and should consider upgrading to a smart lock. Developing a habit of performing a quick “key-check” before leaving your home can save you from lockout situations. Keep a spare key in your bag or wallet, but avoid hiding one outside your home, as experienced burglars can easily find these hiding spots. Keyless locks are gaining popularity as they provide convenience and security.

When choosing a locksmith, look for reputable and licensed professionals. Examine reviews on the internet and get recommendations from friends and family. Be cautious of locksmiths who quote unusually low prices, as they may have hidden fees or use unscrupulous practices. If you rent, your landlord or rental agency will probably hold a spare key to your property. Many will be happy to help if you phone and explain that you're locked out of the house — though some may charge a fee if your key is truly lost. However, this tip might not be helpful if you're locked out in the dead of night or there's no one available to come let you in.

locked out of house

If this is the case, you can push it open from the outside, similar to how you would push open a window. If you’re locked out of your home, there are plenty of things to try before you resort to breaking a door or window. Breaking into your own home should only be used as a last resort if all your other attempts at entry fail. Let’s look at a complete list of things to try to get back into your home. You can't get a hold of your roommate and you're a cautious person that secures all windows and doors.

This spare key would be secondary to the duplicates you’d be handing out to a friend. We don’t suggest you keep the spare key in obvious hidden spots like under the doormat. Rather, improvise, and see if any other hidden places around your house could hold a key. The best way to avoid future lockouts is to eliminate the need for a key altogether. If you have a number combination lock or another form of smart lock on your front door, you won’t have to worry about locking yourself out of the house anymore. If you don’t feel comfortable leaving a spare key around your home, you can always give one to a trusted neighbor.

While we would never recommend intentionally leaving your home unsecured, you may have accidentally left a window unlocked the last time you opened it to let in a cool breeze. Be sure to try all back doors and patio doors first before resorting to more creative options. It’s hardly a new concept, but many homeowners forgo making duplicate keys. Not only should you make a house key for each adult in the house, but you should also have spare keys for each of your home’s entry points. You don’t need to carry them around every day on your keychain, but keeping them in a secure location could end up saving you in the future. A mechanical room, garage cabinet, or office are ideal storage locations for your spare keys.

In such cases, the fee could soar up to $300, depending upon the time and the professional. If you’ve locked keys inside the house and have no duplicates, you can contact a local locksmith and have them open the door. If you locked yourself out of the house and don’t want to break anything to get back inside, try contacting a locksmith. Locksmiths have both the proper training and tools to help you unlock your door without a key. However, using a locksmith can be both time-consuming and expensive.

Embattled Missouri House speaker says he ‘clearly’ has no plans to resign

Nadya Okamoto, a content creator who has roughly 4 million followers on TikTok, said she has been having conversations with other creators who are experiencing “so much anger and anxiety” about the bill and how it’s going to impact their lives. Located at 5121 Franklin, this imposing, Mayan-inspired facade is a 1926 creation of Lloyd Wright (son of Frank Lloyd Wright) and is considered by some to be the pinnacle of his residential work. Initially a temporary structure designed by Lloyd Wright, the nested quarter-spheres form a fitting backdrop for the caliber of artists who perform on its stage. Also brought over from British architecture is a focus upon (almost an obsession with) symmetry. A central staircase usually stands behind the front door, and window distribution is equilateral. Sometimes gabled roofs are tall enough to contain an attic floor with windows in the gables. Democrats, who stepped in late Thursday to save a resolution paving the way for the foreign aid package to be considered, will have to do so again on Friday in a critical vote on the House floor. Ranch-style homes have a low and wide footprint with gradually-sloping roofs and usually just one floor.

“There used to be a line about Los Angeles that everyone was either a screenwriter or an actor,” says Scotti Sitz, owner of L.A. “I think in some respects, you could start to make the case that everyone here is now an interior designer.” Indeed, the city’s design scene has boomed, with new shops and showrooms sprouting up every month. What’s most exciting about this design renaissance, though, is the range of visions and styles represented around the city—due in part, perhaps, to the constant flow of new residents from around the country and world. Design scene is equally embracing of the primitive and the cutting-edge, the refined with the unrefined,” says Adam Blackman of Blackman Cruz, on Highland Avenue.

“They need to speak up if they think things are being done which are improper and ensure the client hears those things,” he says. The Post Office’s general counsel were involved in commissioning half a dozen reports and reviews by external auditors and consultants, including BAE Systems, Deloitte, EY, and Second Sight, in the decade leading up to the 2019 High Court case. Santos last month launched a campaign to challenge Republican Rep. Nick LaLota in the GOP primary for the eastern Long Island congressional district, which is a different district than the one he previously represented. Weeks later, Santos said he was leaving the Republican Party and would instead run for the seat as an independent. Plocher reported more than $1.3 million between his campaign account and allied political action committee; the competitor closest to his dollar amount was state Sen. Denny Hoskins, R-Warrensburg, who had nearly $255,000 on hand.

Chris AujardAfter becoming general counsel in 2013, he was tasked with winding down a mediation scheme set up for affected sub-postmasters and removing Second Sight from its role investigating the Post Office. Meeting minutes from 2014 showed he was present when executives discussed setting aside £1mn in “token payments” to mitigate any reputational damage. He adds that there were occasions when in-house lawyers at the Post Office should have sought to “blow the whistle” once it became obvious that errors in the Horizon system could account for shortfalls. Richard Moorhead, a professor of law and professional ethics at the University of Exeter, says matters should be reported “up the ladder” and that general counsel need to act as a “moral compass” within an organisation.

Bungalows commonly have wide gabled roofs that extend over large front porches, with large columns propping up exposed eaves. Thus, they are well-suited to areas with sweltering climates and occasional rainstorms. They are usually built over one main story with a smaller second story often incorporate into the roof with a dormer in the front elevation. The styles of homes in Los Angeles are closely tied to the city's history and evolution. At the time of its founding in 1850, Los Angeles was scarcely more than a semi-lawless pioneer outpost with encampments near the Los Angeles River. Democratic votes will also be needed on Friday to pass a procedural measure, known as a rule, to allow the aid package to be brought up, in what is expected to be yet another unorthodox vote in the face of Republican opposition.

On Thursday, the US vetoed a resolution proposing the Palestinian request. Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz also thanked the House, saying he hopes the package will next pass in the US Senate, "soon with strong bipartisan support." The ministry identified the driver as Mohammed Awad Allah Mohammed Musa, 50, and said he worked with the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS). The aid will directly correlate to the increasing number of Palestinian casualties, said the spokesperson, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, according to a statement published by the Palestinian official news agency WAFA. Sustainable materials and optimized energy consumption give many of these homes a much-reduced carbon footprint. They are commonly found in well-to-do areas where tech or entertainment professionals live, such as Beverly Hills, Pasadena, or the Hollywood Hills.

An excellent example of American Arts and Crafts style architecture, Gamble House was designed in 1908 by Charles and Henry Greene for David and Mary Gamble (Procter and Gamble). It sits just across the street from the Disney Hall and designed to both contrast with the Disney Hall's perforated metal exterior and respect its presence. From the early Twentieth Century through today, the world's most famous and influential architects have created amazing buildings, homes and structures in LA and Southern California. These are just a few of the most beautiful - and unusual places you can see on your personal architecture tour. “The US Congress just overwhelmingly passed a much appreciated aid bill that demonstrates strong bipartisan support for Israel and defends Western civilization. Modern (and Mid-Century Modern)

WASHINGTON (AP) — The House passed legislation Saturday that would ban TikTok in the United States if the popular social media platform’s China-based owner doesn’t sell its stake within a year, but don’t expect the app to go away anytime soon. Based loosely on a Western frontier home, Ranch-style houses have the modular simplicity of modernist homes with the “down-home” feel of a traditional 19th-century homestead. It is a truly American style, originating in the 20s but becoming popular from the 40s to 70s. A post-war baby boom made it necessary to build many new homes quickly, and the simple construction and homely detailing of these houses made them popular with post-war homeowners. These houses tend to be less severe in their aesthetic than some classically modernist homes, with which they share key features such as open-plan interior layouts, blocky construction, flat roofs, and subtle landscaping.

Interiors are often open-plan, and these homes frequently incorporate basements and built-in garages. Front-facing triangular gables sometimes break up the rectangular linearity of this style. French eclectic might blend aspects of Craftsman, Cottage, or other styles to create a hybrid form while still retaining some of the rustic elements of French provincial homes, such as steeply raked grey-tiled roofs and brick chimneys. Popular in America between 1915 and 1945, French-inspired styles were popularized by soldiers returning home from the World Wars. French Revival is really a cover-all term for several sub-styles, including Norman Cottage, Chateauesque, and French Eclectic.

Organizations such as the American Civil Liberties Union have backed the app. “Congress cannot take away the rights of over 170 million Americans who use TikTok to express themselves, engage in political advocacy, and access information from around the world,” said Jenna Leventoff, a lawyer for the group. Dozens of states and the federal government have put in place TikTok bans on government devices.

However, it was another lawyer — James Hartley, partner and head of dispute resolution at law firm Freeths — who represented 555 of the sub-postmasters in a landmark 2019 High Court case in which the extent of the IT scandal emerged. The judge ruled that several “bugs, errors and defects” meant there was a “material risk” that the Horizon system was to blame for faulty data used in the Post Office prosecutions. More than 900 people were convicted of a range of offences, including theft and false accounting, in cases involving data from Fujitsu’s flawed Horizon system, which was introduced in 1999. The former congressman has pleaded not guilty to federal charges that include deceiving Congress about his wealth, stealing from his campaign and obtaining unemployment benefits he didn’t deserve.

Larger garages were also required as an increasing number of households owned more than one vehicle. The next wave of construction in Los Angeles occurred during WWII as thousands of workers moved to the area to take jobs with defense contractors (Boeing, Lockheed, Douglas, et al.) as part of the war effort. For example, thousands of small, single-family homes were built in less than a year near Santa Monica Airport to house the workforce of 70,000 who manufactured and assembled aircraft there. Martinez said one person was inside the home when firefighters arrived, and crews helped that person get out.

Front-facing gables sometimes incorporate a catslide roof, where a curving interior slope contrasts with steep, straight eaves on the outside. There are often mock-retro touches such as imitation thatched roofs and windows with leaded panes. The boom period for this type of housing was 1700 to 1850, and a revival took place from the 1920s to the 1950s. Simple to construct and to extend, the Cape Cod style became popular throughout the US, particularly in the post-war era when the US government launched mortgage programs for returning servicemembers.

These home exteriors are often surfaced in more than one material, with metal contrasting with wood or painted stucco. Eclecticism is a watchword of this style, and contemporary homeowners curate their interiors and gardens with great care. Legislation that could ban TikTok if its China-based owner doesn’t sell its stake has won a major boost as House Republicans included it in a package of bills that would send U.S. aid to Ukraine and Israel. With booming stock markets in the 1920s came a revival of this English Tudor and Medieval inspired style. These homes, often constructed in complex, decorative brickwork, borrow heavily from an eclectic palette of archaic features such as exposed wooden beams, tall bay windows, steeply raked roofs, and diagonal muntin panes. The style is based upon British townhouses but substitutes narrow clapboard siding or stone for the brick-and-mortar construction you might commonly find in the UK.

We think Los Angeles architecture is worth celebrating, so we've put together this guide to some of the city's most remarkable buildings and styles. Much like the city itself, design shopping resources in Los Angeles are fantastically vast and wildly creative. AD PRO asked local experts to share some of their favorite home decor shops, from tried-and-true classics to lesser-known treasures in locations ranging from Venice to Pasadena to Orange County. These businesses’ diverse styles translate to endless opportunities for interior design professionals and enthusiasts alike to explore and be inspired. And as is generally the case with L.A., once you dig in, there’s always more to discover. Inspiration may also be taken from medieval church design with carved wooden exterior detailing, stained glass, and window pews.

These homes can be quite tall with steeply sloped roofs and multiple floors. They are often half-timbered, with wood paneling on the upper levels and stone or brickwork below. English-styled homes might also incorporate medieval Tudor elements such as exposed structural beams picked out in black against whitewashed walls. This was a typical look in English homes during the reign of the Tudor monarchs between 1485 and 1560.

The Traditional style is typified by simple, unadorned facades and low or intermediate pitched roofs, usually with at least one front-facing gable or hip and a large chimney. Often prized by Hollywood stars and producers, these comfortable but charming homes are characterized by earthy styles, stucco exteriors, red-tiled roofs, exterior stairways, and verandas. Their key motif is the arch, as decorative edging, around windows or often framing an elegant entranceway or portico. They are based on a style originating with the Spanish colonials in the sixteenth century and re-popularized by the 1915 Panama-California Exposition. The boom period for this architectural mode was the 1920s and 30s, as Hollywood hit its stride, and the demand for stylish residences grew.

Dormer windows often project through the eaves, and these rustic-styled homes are finished in stucco, stone, or brick. Stonework window surrounds, louvered shutters, and delicate wrought iron touches are other signatures of this style. Asymmetry of design is a key feature, with idiosyncratic and cozy room layouts, often built around a central chimney.

League managers would usually communicate the detailed schedule to all participating teams at the start of each season. Valkoun recounted the moment strong storms blew out her bar’s windows in downtown Sulphur, Oklahoma. “Yesterday, eight families had to be told that their loved one had been shot in the line of duty. It was news that they hoped would never come,” North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper said during Tuesday’s press conference. More than 100 shell casings will be collected, according to Chief Johnny Jennings. At the scene, authorities recovered an AR-15 and 40-caliber handgun, along with additional magazines for both guns.

The registration process usually involves filling out an application form that contains personal details and soccer history. Most forms can be accessed online via each league’s official website, with the acceptance determined after review of the application by the league organizer or palette committee. After acceptance, terms of participation including volunteer duties, training schedule, and commitment expectations may be shared. When it comes to the number of games for each league, it also varies.

Operated by ABM Parking Services, the C1 Parking Lot is the closest to the cruise terminal. It is an open-air car park and is right next to the terminal, making it easy to walk to check-in with your luggage.

Each lot has a different price, so it’s important to lookthrough them all. The cheapest one we saw was $245 for 7 days ($35 per day),located at 330 W 56th Street, which is about 0.6 miles from theterminal. SpotHero is a large parking company in New York City and allover the country as well. They have over 75 locations all within a mile to thecruise terminal. You can book your parking at whichever one you want and thenjust walk to the terminal. That convenience comes at a cost, though, so only choose topark here if you can afford to.

Parking is in a covered multi-storey building and daily rates are calculated from 5 am each day. One thing we’ve noticed is that parking lots in the area charge an extra day for your cruise. Say you have a 7-day cruise that leaves Sunday afternoon and returns the following Sunday morning. However, by the clock, your car was on the lot for eight different calendar days counting both the day you arrived at the parking lot and the day you depart.

You may also get to visit more underrated and out-of-the-way cruise ports on your port-intensive cruise adventure– a perfect opportunity to try any water sports and seek out Hawaii’s natural wildlife. If you do not have a passport and are a US resident, this is a great tropical escape that you can actually take part in. Roundtrip Hawaii island cruises are perfect for anyone who wants to save on pre and post-cruise expenses AND are willing to tack on a few more vacation days. First, you will want to get an idea of what your must-see attractions are. Most island hopping Hawaii cruises follow the popular itineraries of either departing from a California port, Hawaii-only, South Pacific Islands, and Repositioning cruises. Cruise lines typically visit Hawaii on sailings during two separate time frames, noted as the best time to visit Hawaii.

Well, let me tell you, there is much more to the South Pacific region than these well-known islands. With that being said, all Hawaii cruises can typically be categorized into four categories– West Coast to Hawaii sailings, Hawaii-only sailings, South Pacific sailings, and repositioning sailings. Planning your Hawaii cruise between the months of April and May is a great time for surfers and those looking to get into the water. This is because the weather is excellent, wave heights are manageable, and water temperatures begin to rise. There are a couple sailings running Hawaiian cruises during the majority of the summer from mid-June to mid-December as well, but these are far and few between.

Cruise Information: Hawaii, Round-trip Honolulu – 7 Nights

Our Hawaiian cruises last from nine to 13 nights, sailing between Vancouver and Honolulu. You could also choose a transpacific cruise, starting or ending in Honolulu. Many cruise passengers fall into the trap of rushing back to their ship for lunch and dinner — why pay extra to dine in port, right?

Hawaii Cruise Excursions Bring the Luau to You

Experience the lush forests, crystal-clear turquoise waters and colorful undersea life that will have you feeling like you are in paradise. Cruises to Hawaii will leave you enchanted, whatever your interests. On the other hand, compared with a weeklong, land-based visit to just one or two islands, you might find yourself hard-pressed to fit in everything you want to do in each port of call.

This itinerary includes a traditional evening feast in Molokai, something you won’t find on other Hawaiian cruise itineraries. This itinerary doesn’t require as many sea days as a roundtrip journey but includes plenty of time for lounging by the pool, catching shows, and trying all the on board restaurants. Most cruises to Hawaii require several days at sea, but not Norwegian’s Pride of America. The 2,186-passenger Pride of America is the only cruise ship that sails from Oahu to neighboring Hawaiian islands, minimizing sea days while taking travelers to four Hawaiian islands in a single week. The ship departs from Honolulu every Saturday all year long, making it easy to tack on visits to Pearl Harbor, Diamond Head, and Waikiki Beach. The ship spends the night in Maui and Kauai, and makes two stops on the island of Hawaii—also known as the Big Island—in Hilo and Kona.

Through these excellent tours you can discover the unique and colorful marine wildlife Bora Bora has to offer. As a small island found northwest of Tahiti in French Polynesia, Bora Bora is world-renowned as the top honeymoon destination. However, you do not need to be staying a couple weeks to experience a good part of what Bora Bora has to offer. If you are sailing to some of the other South Pacific islands on your Hawaiian cruise, there is a high chance that you will be stopping in Papeete, Tahiti’s capital city.

THE BEST HAWAII CRUISES

These itineraries tend to be port-intensive as they run around 7-nights roundtrip. Our Hawaiian cruises offer an intoxicating mix of island adventure and carefree cruising. You'll venture to four dazzling islands — including a full day and late evening in Honolulu to see the sights and experience its famed nightlife.

What are the Different Hawaii Cruise Itineraries?

If your cruise embarks and/or disembarks in Honolulu, you won't actually have much time to enjoy Oahu's sights and attractions unless you arrive a day or two early or add a night or two post-cruise. If you'd rather spend the majority of your cruise visiting the islands and sightseeing, a seven-night itinerary that sails round-trip from Honolulu or between multiple islands is also an option. The most popular all-Hawaii cruise option is on Norwegian Cruise Line's Pride of America, which sails round-trip from Honolulu year-round, departing and returning every Saturday. Whether you’re exploring the islands or on board a Princess ship, there are countless ways to experience the best of Hawaii and relax and rejuvenate.

This cruise aboard the 3,080-passenger Crown Princess departs San Francisco in the late afternoon. Swimming pools, hot tubs, miniature golf, Discovery at Sea programs, movies, dancing, and shows ensure plenty to do during the four days at sea on the way to Hawaii. Shipboard programs for youths, teens, and families provide something for everyone. On the Big Island, guests can zipline through the rainforest or ride to the top of Mauna Kea, the world's tallest mountain. Next is Oahu, where activities include a tour of Pearl Harbor, snorkeling in Hanauma Bay, and a tour of the only royal palace in the United States. On Kauai, there are hiking, snorkeling, and kayaking adventures.

Another perk of visiting this island nation on a Hawaiian cruise is the influx of humpback whales in the area– especially around Maui. As the most discerning, up-to-the-minute voice in all things travel, Condé Nast Traveler is the global citizen’s bible and muse, offering both inspiration and vital intel. We understand that time is the greatest luxury, which is why Condé Nast Traveler mines its network of experts and influencers so that you never waste a meal, a drink, or a hotel stay wherever you are in the world.

Get to know the each of the islands in depth with Discovery at SEA  Recommended and Exclusive excursions, offering you immersive adventures or even unique experiences you can only get from Princess. And on itineraries with More Ashore Late Night calls, we stay until at least 9 p.m. In port like Honolulu, so you can also experience some of the fabulous nightlife. Visitors to Hawaii, especially first-timers, will want to experience as much of the islands as possible, and a cruise is one way to accomplish that. You can embark from any of several ports on the West Coast (or within Hawaii itself), and the convenience of not worrying about hotel changes or local transportation is a plus.

Leave airport travel and hotel bag-packing behind to go Hawaii island hopping in style and ease. If boarding a ship with thousands of strangers isn’t your idea of a vacation, UnCruise Adventures may be the cruise line for you. UnCruise itineraries are all about connecting with nature and local culture. UnCruise offers a yacht-like experience on board the 36-passenger Safari Explorer. Sail from November through April on a seven-night itinerary that swaps touristy Oahu for Hawaii’s least developed island—Molokai. Because it’s so small, the Safari Explorer can access ports the big ships can’t and help travelers better connect with local communities.

These spectacular stone carvings offer a fascinating view into Hawaii’s past, dating back to the 16th century. Kealakekua Bay is a perfect spot to explore Kailua Kona’s breathtaking coastline. Here, you can find a remarkable coral reef which is known as one of the best snorkeling spots in all of Hawaii. Later, head over to the Pu’uhonoa o Honaunau National Historical Park where you will step back in time to understand Hawaii’s rich history.

Your ship is the Crown Princess, by Princess Cruises — a luxury resort on the sea, offering onboard festivals, sporting events, musical productions, and six salons and spas for joyful rejuvenation. Book your Hawaii vacation package with Rose to include pre-cruise hotel with flights. Experience 4 islands visiting 5 ports on one itinerary that can include travel cancellation insurance and a variety of shore excursion options.

On the other side of the island in Kona, snorkeling, fishing, cruising in a catamaran, and a reef tour are among optional activities. On Kauai, passengers can enjoy a traditional luau, hike through a rainforest, go kayaking, or take in Waimea Canyon. The cruise ends the following Saturday back in Honolulu, where passengers can explore the city, nearby Pearl Harbor, or Oahu's North Shore.

But once you hop the Hawaiian islands with Norwegian, it will become your thing. If you love the actual "cruising" part of cruising, many of the major lines offer round-trip sailings from West Coast ports on itineraries lasting two weeks or more. This means you'll spend extensive time on board your ship as you cross the Pacific Ocean, but only four or five days in port in the Hawaiian Islands.
